Rugby World Cup action has started and Scotland will be keen to open their account with a sizzling win over current champions South Africa.

They aren't the team anybody would have wanted to face off the bat but challenge becomes a privilege for the Scots up against a side who beat England 32-12 in the World Cup final to win gold last time out. Gregor Townsend will hope to spring a shock and they know slip-ups can't be had in a group also involving Ireland and that has been dubbed the 'group of death', with every game holding equal importance.

Scotland go into the clash with the world'ss best against them but they will be happy to play the underdog card with the pressure firmly on Jacques Nienaber's squad. Darcy Graham is back in the swing of things after passing a fitness test and Zander Fagerson returns to the fray following his red card against France at Murrayfield little over four weeks ago.
