Jockey Luca Morgan was unseated right on the finish line in a dramatic end to the 2.45pm race at Uttoxeter.

Morgan was on 8/1 shot Greatness Awaits in the Brit Direct Handicap Hurdle, for trainer Ben Pauling, but was unseated in the final yards as he battled out with with Ambassador, ridden by Brian Hughes. The crowd were left stunned at the incident but luckily the jockey got to his feet moments later and walked away unscathed. However, it cost the owners at least £1500 for the runners-up prize cash.

If Morgan had at least one hand on the reins as they passed the post then he would have been deemed to have finished the race but instead went down as a faller.
