Stacey Solomon's fans were left in stitches as the television personality shared an update from her family home in Essex making some 'winter soup' as she shared a picture of a bowl full of broth with a huge corn on the cob plonked in the stew.

"Everyone's home from school & had their stew. I love winter comfort food so much plus it's the easiest dinner ever," the mum-of-five wrote alongside the snap of the dinner which also had a big chuck of carrot and what looked like potato.

She added: "I'm going to do bath & bed then I'll show you my giant bells," as the DIY star had been busy decorating for the festive season already making her own 'giant Christmas bells' from balloons and gold spray paint for the front door.

The Sort Your Life Out host later returned to her social media page in stitches as she admitted fans had been left baffled by her 'winter stew' asking her why she had chucked a whole corn on the cob in her bowl.

She said: "Everyone's asleep so I'm just sitting giving the dogs a cuddle and reading all your messages," she laughed. "Loads of people are asking 'Stacey why is there whole corn on the cobs in your stew?'

Fans were left in stitches at the huge corn.

"The reason there's corn on the cobs in there is because when I make a stew I just chuck everything from the fridge that's about to go out of date into a big pot."

Stacey couldn't stop laughing at the fan reaction, adding: "I had loads of corn on the cobs so I thought 'great they'll beef it out a bit and make it look a bit bigger than what it is' but actually, don't knock it til' you try it.

"I think I'm going to continuously put corn on the cobs in my stew from now on because all the juice from the stew gets sucked into the corn and it's a bit messy when you eat it but it tastes so good - honestly put corn on the cobs in your stew, you won't regret it."

Stacey later returned to social media again, where she was doubled over at fans messaging her saying her DIY bells were 's***e'

She said: "I think I'm laughing because I thought they were really good and I was like 'yeah smashed it again' made some amazing Christmas bells and you are all like 'what is that Stacey? It's s***e, it's really tickled me.

"I think this is all a good lesson to learn, beauty is in the eye of the beholder," she laughed, "and also not every craft is a winner."
