Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have had rumours circulating around the future of their marriage in recent weeks with one expert suggesting that the duke may no longer be "useful" to his wife.

The Duchess of Sussex is reported to have been staying at The Beverly Hills Hotel while she focuses on making her Hollywood comeback but the 39-year-old prince does not appear to be on the same page.

It's believed that the former Suits actress has her "eyes set on bigger opportunities" while Harry is more keen to focus on their charity work, the Mirror reports.

According to royal expert Graydon Carter, Meghan has used Harry for his power and wealth but now his worth to her is "diminishing".

He claims: "I would measure the duration of the marriage in years rather than decades.

"I think she has run rings around poor Harry and gotten what she wanted: notoriety, money, and a title. His usefulness to her diminishes daily."

The 42-year-old duchess is believed to have set up shop at The Beverly Hills Hotel so she can be closer to her newly signed talent agency William Morris Endeavour in Los Angeles.

Graydon, who is a former editor of Vanity Fair, believes Meghan won't return to acting but could still make an appearance on TV.

Speaking to The Times, he said: "If there is a Real Housewives of Montecito show in the works, she’d be a shoo-in."

The Kardashian family matriarch has apparently been determined to get Meghan and Harry to star on the hit Hulu show ever since the Sussexes moved to their celebrity-filled neighbourhood.

A source told Bella Magazine about Kris' plans to collaborate with the Sussexes' in an ultimate power move.

They said: "It’s no coincidence that the Kardashians all move in the same circles as Meghan’s new circle. It’s just a slam dunk for the two families to team up, but Kris doesn’t want to push too aggressively, too soon.

"Even if it’s just a cameo, that’s a huge win for Kris."
