Gary Anderson has issued a strongly-worded denial as 'fartgate' continues to rumble on.

The darts hero was left perplexed when asked if he was the guilty party for the foul smell which surrounded the oche during his clash with Wesley Harms.

Three-time world champion Anderson insists he wasn't the one who produced the "rotten eggs" smell during Friday's Grand Slam of Darts match in Wolverhampton.

The Scottish star made it look easy as he continued his fine form but didn't hold back in explaining what happened during the contest - with accusations leaving a bad taste in the mouth.

Harms blamed the Eyemouth star of passing wind during the contest but the Flying Scotsman had his own theory.

Anderson told Dutch TV station RLS7L: "I thought Wesley had farted on stage.

"You can put your finger up my a*** and there will be no smell. It'll take me two nights to lose this smell from my nose.

"Usually if I fart on stage I s*** myself, I've told you that before.

"Every time I walked past there was a waft of rotten eggs so that's why I was thinking it was him.

"It was bad. It was a stink, then he started to play better and I thought he must have needed to get some wind out.

"If somebody has done that they need to see a doctor."
