Scottish golf fans felt Bob MacIntyre wasn't given a fair rub of the green (pardon the pun) on the final day of the Ryder Cup.

MacIntyre was the final Team Europe golfer to tee off in the Sunday Singles as Europe looked to press home the five-point advantage earned in the Foursomes and Fourballs on Friday and Saturday. They started strong too with Viktor Hovland, Rory McIlroy and Tyrrell Hatton each winning early on in the day to creep up to the verge of that crucial 14.5 point mark.

MacIntyre contested the final of the 12 matches with Wyndham Clark and with his match still in the early stages while his teammates added points to the board, he didn't get much coverage on Sky - one missed put in the 12th hole a reminder to many that MacIntyre was in fact playing. But he was playing well generally and with the Scot two up and taking charge of his match, one fan wrote: "Anybody seen Bob MacIntyre today I heard he was playing well at the Ryder Cup but..."

Another added: "Hey @SkySports there’s a young guy from Oban called Bob MacIntyre playing really well in the @rydercup. Great story. You should try showing us one of his shots," and another viewer said: "...any chance they could show a tiny bit of Bob MacIntyre’s game?"
