The Ayr Gold Festival comes to a crescendo and Record Sport's top tipster Garry Owen has gone through the card on day two. And you can follow every furlong from the main event on Saturday in our LIVE blog.

RAMAZAN (3:35) can charge to victory for Richard Fahey in this year’s Virgin Bet Ayr Gold Cup. The sprinter built on some solid efforts when second to Prairie Falcon at this meeting a year ago. He backed-up that performance with a cracking third to Galeron in a hot nursery at the Curragh.

The three-year-old didn’t set the heather on fire with tepid early season efforts at York and Ascot. However, he hit back by decisively defeating Chartwell House in a valuable handicap at Haydock. The gelding was far from disgraced when ninth behind Baradar in the International Stakes at Ascot. He then resumed winning ways by bolting-up from Loingseoir in another hot contest at Chepstow. The bay has a potent turn of foot so he can claim Scotland’s biggest Flat race back over six furlongs.

KOY KOY (1:15) can extend George Boughey’s tremendous run in the Virgin Bet Handicap.

The four-year-old atoned for some poor runs when second to the useful Safe Voyage at Chester. The gelding soon continued his revival when decisively defeating Farasi Lane at Wolverhampton.

The bay is in the form of his life so he can make light of a welter-burden under Danny Tudhope.

HELVIC DREAM (1:50) can show he’s the real deal for Noel Meade in the Doonside Cup.

The gelding lost his way after outbattling Broome in Group 1 company at the Curragh in 2021.

However, he bounced back when third to Layfayette in the Royal Whip back at the same track.

The six-year-old remains in form so he can regain the winning thread in these calmer waters.

WOBWOBWOB (2:25) can sparkle for ultra-shrewd Adrian Keatley in the Ayr Silver Cup.

The gelding left some lacklustre efforts behind when chasing home Rhoscolyn at Goodwood. The speedster was even better when third to Sophia's Starlight in the Great St Wilfrid at Ripon.

That was a career best so the five-year-old can land this huge prize in the hands of Hollie Doyle.

RAQIYA (3:00) can cruise to victory for in-form Owen Burrows in the Firth Of Clyde Stakes.

The juvenile opened her account by absolutely bolting-up from Miss Information at Salisbury. The filly quickly raised her game once again when showing Lunar Shine no mercy at Haydock.

The Shadwell raider has a bright future so she can add this warm Group 3 to her growing CV.

SAILTHISSHIPALONE (4:10) can just shade the trappy Jordan Electrics EBF Nursery.

Richard Fahey’s horse relished tackling seven furlongs when third to Loose Cannon at York. The colt stayed on this rise by chinning Apiarist in another decent novices event at Thirsk.

The juvenile is tailor-made for handicaps so he can take advantage of a nice opening mark.

COLD STARE (4:45) can terrify the bookmakers in the trappy Thistle Cabs Handicap.

David O’Meara’s gelding was a disappointing fourth behind Look Back Smiling at Leicester.

The eight-year-old soon got back on track with close third to Bishop's Crown at Doncaster.

The veteran looks fairly-treated on his old form so he can triumph back over seven furlongs.

The Bearingboys Handicap looks just as tricky but I’m siding with VAYNOR (5:20).

Progressive last Autumn’s Charlie Hills’ horse seemed to go off the boil over the Summer.

However, the gelding returned to form when fending-off Strawman over 1m 4f at Thirsk.

The four-year-old was doing all his best work late so he can defy a 2lb penalty upped in trip.
