The Ayr Gold Festival gets underway on Friday and Record Sport's top tipster Garry Owen has gone through the card on day one. And you can follow every furlong from the main event on Saturday in our LIVE blog.

AUSSIE GIRL (2:50) looks the real deal in the Scottish Sprint Stakes at the Ayr Gold Cup Festival. Fozzy Stack’s filly was unlucky to encounter the talented Ocean Quest in a hot Naas Group 3. The three-year-old remains upwardly mobile so she can go one better in another warm race.

LUNAR STREETS (1:15) can shine for Ed Dunlop in the trappy Virgin Bet Nursery. The two-year-old improved again when an excellent second to Havana Rose at Carlisle. The filly was staying-on well so she can cash-in on an inviting opening mark upped in trip.

TWO TRIBES (1:45) can show his mettle for Richard Spencer in the EBF Nursery. The juvenile stayed upwardly mobile when narrowly beaten by Call Glory at Chelmsford. The colt is proven on Turf so he can land another strong contest for his shrewd handler.

PUROSANGUE (2:15) can cut his rivals down to size in the Harry Rosebery Stakes. Andrew Balding’s horse was a superb second to Inquisitively in Listed company at York. That is excellent form so this speedy type can resume winning ways in a similar contest.

YAASER (3:25) can kick-off a profitable day for Jim Goldie in the Bronze Cup. The gelding looked better than ever when decisively despatching Aphelios at Southwell. The five-year-old won’t mind dropping to six furlongs so he can make light of a 5lb rise.

The Uplawmoor Ace can also take the Tenennt’s Handicap with AYR POET (4:35). The gelding stayed on track with a good second to Can't Stop Now at Carlisle. The veteran is highly consistent so he can cash-in on a fair mark up a furlong.

Goldie can complete a hat-trick with BOBBY SHAFTOE (5:10) in the last. The gelding put in another fine shift when chasing home Marbuzet at Musselburgh. The five-year-old still lurks on an inviting mark so he can triumph back over 1m 5f.

YORKSTONE (4:00) can pay for a few rounds in the Tennent's Lager Handicap. Mick Easterby’s horse hit back by decisively defeating Streaky Bay at Doncaster. The three-year-old was strong at the finish so he can defy a 5lb hike over a mile.
